Read<\/span><\/h2>\n
Matthew 28:18-20<\/cite> Then Jesus came to them and said, \u201cAll authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.\u201d<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Learn<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Matthew 28: 18-20 is called the Great Commission. It is Jesus\u2019 call to all Christians, young and old, to go and tell everyone in every country on earth about God.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The are 5 P\u2019s about the Great Commission:<\/span><\/p>\n

1. The main <\/span>Players<\/b>. Who is Jesus talking to in The Great Commission? He is talking to us \u2013 we are the main players whom He tells to<\/span> go<\/span><\/i> and make disciples!<\/span><\/p>\n

2. The main <\/span>Power. <\/b>Where do we get the power to persuade people to believe in Jesus? Our authority, or power, comes from Jesus Christ Himself.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. The main <\/span>Purpose<\/b>. There are four action words in verse 19: <\/span>\u201cGo\u201d, \u201cbaptise\u201d, \u201cmake\u201d and \u201cteach\u201d<\/span>. Can you guess which is the most important?\u00a0 It is \u201cmake\u201d. We \u201cgo\u201d, \u201cbaptise\u201d and \u201cteach\u201d so that we can \u201cmake\u201d disciples. Disciples are not just those who are baptised or who go to church or who read the Bible. Disciples are those who study God\u2019s Word and live as God\u2019s people.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

4. The main <\/span>People<\/b>. Who does Jesus want us to make into disciples? All the different people from the different countries in the whole world! When everyone hears about the Gospel, Jesus will come again!<\/span><\/p>\n

5. The main <\/span>Passion.<\/b> God\u2019s passion is to gather everyone to worship Him together.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

God shows us in Revelations 5:9 the wonderful picture of a complete Church when the Great Commission is finished.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
