Genesis 12:1, 4<\/cite> The Lord had said to Abram, \u201cGo from your country, your people and your father\u2019s household to the land I will show you.\u201d \u2026 So Abram went, as the Lord had told him.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Learn<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

When God told Abraham to leave his home, He did not tell him where to go. But Abraham immediately obeyed.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Because Abraham obeyed God, God blessed him along the way.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When Abraham wanted a son, God promised Abraham grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren who were as many as the stars in the sky.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While Abraham wanted a son to inherit his wealth, God wanted Abraham to have descendants to inherit the world.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While Abraham was thinking of a family, God was thinking of many families in many nations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

God\u2019s plans were far bigger than Abraham\u2019s plans. And Abraham believed God even though it looked impossible.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Here are 3 ways you can follow Abraham\u2019s footsteps when God calls:<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Obey quickly\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Do you delay? Do you argue with God? Do you tell Him that what He promises is impossible? Stop. God can do what He promises!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Don\u2019t focus on your own worries\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

It is natural to have worries, but ask God to show you what He sees. Then you can look beyond your worries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Choose to believe<\/b><\/p>\n

Abraham saw the stars God showed him \u2013 the stars that God Himself made \u2013 and he believed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t wait for God to show you the complete picture before you obey. Many people cannot be trusted; but God can. He leads us step by step so we can learn to trust Him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

God wants us to reach all the people in all the world and to bless them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
