Esther 4:13-14<\/cite> He sent back this answer: \u201cDo not think that because you are in the king\u2019s house you alone of all the Jews will escape. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father\u2019s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?\u201d<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Learn<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Queen Esther is a hero in this story. When the king ordered the Jews in the land to be killed, God chose to use Esther to save them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But there is another character just as important in this story: Mordecai, Esther\u2019s cousin, who raised her and took care of her.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When Esther was afraid to ask the king to stop the killing, Mordecai was the one who challenged her to use her royal position to save the Jews. He reminded her that God may have put her in the palace for \u201csuch a time as this\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But the king said that anyone who approached him without his permission would be killed. Will Esther risk her life to save the Jews?<\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to Mordecai\u2019s reminder that she can choose to be brave, Esther did.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Esther was just a teenager when she went into the palace. Like Esther, God has put you in your school, neighbourhood and church for \u201csuch a time as this\u201d. You are never too young to rise up bravely to do God\u2019s work where He has placed you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But God has not left you alone to serve Him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He has placed Mordecais in your life \u2013 older people who are experienced and wise, who pray for you, guide you, encourage you and challenge you. They could be your parents, your Pastor, your teachers, your <\/span>Gor Gors<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>Jie Jies<\/span><\/i> in church.<\/span><\/p>\n

God does that because He is a God of generations, young and old. That means He lives through all generations, He works through all generations, and He loves all generations.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, rise up, young one, and serve God together with the older generation in your life. <\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
