Family Devotion Day 30: Shout out God’s name!

Revelation 7:9-10 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”

God gave us a picture of what a perfect church looks like: A huge crowd of different people from every corner of the world, speaking different languages, standing before the throne of God! They will be praising, worshipping and shouting that salvation belongs to God.  

What an amazing picture – it is more epic than the best movie! Close your eyes – can you see it? 

This is the picture of God’s heart for the world since the beginning of time. It is a promise that God has given, and His promises never fail. 

But this perfect church is not yet here. There are still many people in many nations that do not know God. God is inviting you to join Him in bringing this picture to life. Even if it is hard, will you accept God’s invitation to partner with Him? 

Let us keep praying that every church in Singapore will keep believing that this perfect church will one day come true. 

Let us ask God for people in our churches to shout the name of Jesus in every corner of the world, to all people, in all languages. 

The name of Jesus is the only name that saves us!

  • Who do you want to see standing in heaven with you, worshipping God together with you? 
  • Who is God telling you to share the Gospel with?
/ Pray
  • Pray that many churches will send out missionaries to share the Gospel in places that are far away and forgotten. 
  • Ask God to show which people in another country you can pray for. Pray that they will come to know Him and His love for them.
  • Pray for young people your age to love God so much that they will do His work and obey His will until Jesus comes again.
