Galatians 5:1 <\/cite>\u201cIt is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.\u201d<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow!<\/em>
\nBecause He lives, all fear is gone.<\/em>
\nBecause I know He holds the future,<\/em>
\nAnd life is worth the living<\/em>
\nJust because He lives!<\/em><\/p>\n

Yes, He lives that we would be free indeed! Free from every plan of darkness. Free to live, free to love. Let us rejoice in Jesus\u2019 victory.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness.<\/em>\u201d (2 Peter 1:3)<\/p>\n

Christ has set us free. And with His divine power, we can become all that He has called us to be and we can do all that He has prepared in advance for us to do as fruitful disciples.<\/p>\n

A disciple of Christ is someone who is learning to become more and more like Jesus in character. Together in freedom, let us encourage one another to make freedom a way of life.<\/p>\n

Choose truth, choose submission, choose love.<\/p>\n

1. Choose truth<\/span><\/h2>\n

God\u2019s Word is truth. Jesus is the Truth. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth. And it is knowing the truth that sets us free \u2013 the truth about our Father God.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.<\/em>\u201d (John 3:16).<\/p>\n

Freedom begins here, when you truly believe that your Father God loves you completely.<\/p>\n

The truth about who we are in Christ: Your decision to follow Christ was the defining moment of your life and led to a complete change in who you now are.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come \u2014 the old has gone, the new is here.<\/em>\u201d (2 Corinthians 5:17)<\/p>\n

You are not your past. You are not your failures. You are who God says you are! In Christ, you are accepted, secure and significant.<\/p>\n

We are no longer sinners but beloved saints in the hands of a God who loves us. Why would we believe anything else?<\/p>\n

Together in freedom, let us encourage one another to make freedom a way of life.<\/p>\n

2. Choose submission<\/span><\/h2>\n

Deal with what\u2019s holding you back. God does not change our past but by His grace, He enables us to walk free of it. Christ has set us free (Galatians 5:1), but we will not experience that freedom without genuine repentance.<\/p>\n

Repentance simply means a change of mind. We reject the lies we have believed and the sins in our lives. We choose to believe what God says is true \u2013 and we start to live accordingly.<\/p>\n

“Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.<\/em>\u201d (James 4:7)<\/p>\n

You are not your past. You are not your failures. You are who God says you are!<\/span> In Christ, you are accepted, secure and significant.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Where in your life do you need to submit to God today?<\/p>\n

From fear to faith?<\/p>\n

From bitterness to forgiveness?<\/p>\n

From anxiety to peace?<\/p>\n

Who<\/span><\/i> sets us free is Christ. <\/span>What<\/span><\/i> sets us free is our response to Him in repentance and faith.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The ministry I\u2019m involved in equips Christians from almost 50 countries to take personal responsibility to submit to God and make freedom a way of life.<\/p>\n

Who<\/em> sets us free is Christ. What<\/em> sets us free is our response to Him in repentance and faith.<\/p>\n

Together in freedom, let us encourage one another to make freedom a way of life.<\/p>\n

3. Choose love<\/span><\/h2>\n

Jesus said in John 13:35 that the world will know we are His disciples by our love.<\/p>\n

And in 1 John 4:19, He said we love because He first loved us.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s commit to choosing truth, submission and love. And walking together in the freedom Christ has won for us.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Together we are God\u2019s chosen instrument to proclaim freedom to others. Isaiah 61:1 says: \u201c…He has anointed us to proclaim freedom for the captives\u2026<\/em>\u201d When we are set free by Christ, we are free to love and free to help others find that same freedom, so that they will be free to find Christ.<\/p>\n

So let\u2019s commit to choosing truth, submission and love. And walking together in the freedom Christ has won for us.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s pray.<\/p>\n

Father, thank You that You love us, not because of what we\u2019ve done, but simply because we are Yours.<\/em><\/p>\n

Lord, help us to choose truth today, to believe what You say about us. Let the reality of Your love be the ground beneath our feet. Help us to choose submission, to bring every area of our lives under Your Lordship, to repent where we need to repent.<\/em><\/p>\n

And Lord, help us to choose love, to reflect You to those around us. We declare together: It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. And we will stand firm together.<\/em><\/p>\n

In Jesus\u2019 name, Amen.<\/em><\/p>\n
